I’m Ana,
embodiment mentor, folk herbalist, bodyworker, and ceremonialist.
My path has been forged through a multitude of studies, from shamanism, curanderismo, and ancient healing arts, to somatic intelligence, movement, womb work, and embodiment.
However, my work was ignited through my main and biggest teacher—my own body.
Through my body and my nervous system, I learned true self-mastery. I understood at a cellular level how the body works, and what it takes to inhabit yourself and stand in Truth.
It was through deep dissociation that I learned embodiment. It was through deep numbness that I learned sensation and feeling.
My medicine awakened through profoundly deep initiations.
The multi-year (and ongoing) journey of descending into my Self and landing fully in my body and in my Womanhood is the foundation of my work.
I’m devoted to women’s bodies. To the reclamation of our aliveness, awakening, and embodiment.
Life is a series of initiatory rites, especially for women. It is with deep devotion that I walk alongside you as a mentor, guide, and someone who lives in fierce devotion to this path every day, to walk these rites and cross these thresholds.
My prayer for you, woman, is aliveness.
It’s what informs my work and how I go about it. At its core, my work is rooted in learning to be with sensation. As women, we tend to normalize numbness. To live in a certain degree of separation from ourselves, from our bodies, and their sensations and emotions.
This work is about building capacity in the body to be with sensation. To learn to ride the waves of your body without collapsing or demonizing what’s alive in you.
Sensations are raw. They’re primordial.
Your relationship to your body, and how you exist in connection with your body’s sensations informs your whole life.
You can’t live in Truth from a space of separation from your body. You can't live in your most authentic expression if you’re afraid of sensation. You can’t inhabit yourself fully until you can meet yourself in your own tissues.
As women, there’s a raw, wildish, primordial force alive in our bodies. It creates, and it destroys, and it creates again. It’s our nature.
My work is in service to that force. In service to Her. And in service to help you come into contact with your own life force.
